On the edge

Our programs

Tiny Tots (4-5 years old), CanSkate (5 years and older)

Pre-Canpower

These programs introduce skating to all beginners, regardless of their age.  In our recreational programs, learning is based on having fun while learning, acquiring good basic skating skills and participation.  We teach the basic principles of skating (skating forward and backwards, turning, stopping and jumping), which allow the young skaters to acquire the essentials skills needed to then progress to figure skating, ringuette or hockey.

.

At Pierrefonds FSC, group lessons are provided by Professional Coaches who are assisted by our Program Assistants.  As each level of development is achieved, skaters receive a badge.

Pre-Junior

It is our figure skating development program. The pre-junior level is the continuation of the CanSkate development program.  It targets skaters who wish to improve the abilities learned during the CanSkate program and to pursue their development with the Skate Canada test (i.e. Starskate) program.

At the Pierrefonds Figure Skating Club, each group is comprised of a maximum of six skaters, and is under the supervision of a professional coach.

Junior, Intermediaire, Senior, Star Skate

They are more advanced figure skating programs. Students are improving the skills learned through earlier programs (single and double jumps, transition moves, spins, ice dancing etc.)

Lessons are given privately by our professional coaches. Skaters can also participate in competitions or other events if they desire.

Power skating

The Power Skating  program targets hockey and ringuette players who wish to improve their skating techniques. During our classes, they will understand the skill of skating and will be in a position to correct common mistakes. This program can be summarized in 4 words : balance, power, abilities and endurance.

Figure skating Kinderskate program
